About Del’s Automotive Service

Del’s Automotive Service is looking for an experienced, dependable Master Mechanic / Automotive Technician to join our team. We are an independent repair shop seeking a skilled professional who can accurately diagnose problems, perform quality repairs, and work independently with minimal supervision.

We value experience, honesty, reliability, and pride in workmanship. We are looking for a mechanic who knows their trade, enjoys solving challenging mechanical problems, and wants a stable, long-term position in a professional shop.

Job Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair domestic and foreign cars, trucks, and light-duty vehicles.
Perform advanced diagnostics on mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
Troubleshoot check-engine lights, engine performance issues, drivability concerns, and intermittent faults.
Perform engine repairs, engine replacements, timing repairs, and cooling system repairs.
Diagnose and repair transmissions, drivetrains, differentials, suspension, steering, and braking systems.
Perform electrical diagnostics using scan tools, testing equipment, wiring diagrams, and technical resources.
Complete routine maintenance, inspections, tune-ups, and preventative maintenance services.
Identify the root cause of vehicle problems and recommend appropriate repairs.
Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship.
Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment.
Use shop equipment and tools responsibly.
Communicate diagnostic findings, repair needs, and job status clearly.
Qualifications

Extensive hands-on experience in professional automotive repair.
Ability to independently diagnose problems and complete repairs with minimal supervision.
Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
Proficiency with automotive scan tools and diagnostic equipment.
Experience with major mechanical repairs and complex troubleshooting.
Ability to work efficiently, manage time, and prioritize repairs.
Strong work ethic, reliability, honesty, and attention to detail.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Personal mechanic's tools appropriate for the position.
Preferred qualifications:

ASE certifications or Master Technician certification a plus, but not a dealbreaker.
Experience working on a wide variety of domestic and foreign vehicles.
Experience with engine replacement, timing systems, electrical diagnostics, and difficult drivability issues.
