General Building Contractor in Sacramento, CA has steady work throughout Sacramento and surrounding areas. We have been in business since 2006 as a Licensed General B Contractor. Our primary portfolio of services focuses on ADA bathroom remodeling and accessibility modifications for residential properties. Our client base includes serving individuals with developmental disabilities who need accessible home modifications as well as homeowners. CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER
As the Construction Project Manager, you will oversee all aspects of implementing and executing project deliverables while fostering strong client relationships. This front-line management position leads project coordination to operational excellence. The Project Manager is the primary point of contact between the office, subcontractors and clients. The project manager represents the company and must take responsibility for the overall job, be well-organized, punctual, and an effective communicator.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage multiple jobs simultaneously across Sacramento and surrounding areas
- Receive hand-off of contracted scopes of work from the General Contractor/Estimator
- Implement, execute, and manage project plans for ADA bathroom remodeling and accessibility modification projects
- Manage financial budgets on projects
- Identify resources, equipment, and materials needed to meet job expectations
- Schedule and coordinate subcontractors to meet all project deliverables and client timelines
- Conduct routine on-site inspections to ensure quality and ADA compliance standards are upheld
- Provide documentation as needed to meet billing requirements
- Maintain written communication with clients, and the Project coordinator
- Provide routine project status updates to the General Contractor
- Report any project risks or issues to the General Contractor promptly
- Submit approved purchase orders, invoices, and expense reports to Project Coordinator
- Read and understand architectural plans, including accessibility modification drawings and layouts
- Sketch floor plans of projects as needed
- Lead safety meetings with subcontractor crews
- Report all safety incidents to Office Management immediately
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with subcontractors and other stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project)
- 5-7 years of relevant industry experience in construction project management or estimating is a plus
- Knowledge of ADA Standards for Accessible Design and experience managing accessibility construction scopes is a strong plus
- Experience preparing construction estimates; familiarity with Xactimate or similar estimating software is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is a plus
- Ability to work on-site in Sacramento, CA and travel to surrounding areas
- OSHA 30 Certified or higher is beneficial
- Bilingual (speaking and writing) is a plus
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record
- Must be able to pass a background investigation with at least 3 job references
