Production Sewing Specialist

Description

PRODUCTION SEWING SPECIALIST — Tacoma/Parkland, WA

ABOUT THE ROLE & US

We're looking for a skilled sewing specialist to join our small team at our Tacoma/Parkland location. We produce tactical gear from heavy-duty materials, primarily for military markets.

You'll balance speed and quality, primarily operating an industrial Juki needle feed sewing machine, along with tasks like:

  • Marking webbing (hook, loop, etc.) and cutting on a hot knife cutter
  • Tracing tagboard patterns onto fabric and cutting
  • Cleaning up sewn products, like trimming loose threads
  • Other related tasks as needed
We're a small team, and this is a place where your work has a direct and noticeable contribution to the company. We're an established brand (around 30 years), but we operate quickly, like a startup.

We're a fun group, and this isn't a high-pressure environment. Still, we focus and get our work done. You'll get to build high-quality gear — think backpacks, belts, military shoulder straps, pouches, and more — that truly helps our customers. Loose parts become a finished product every single day.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Years of production sewing experience
  • An eye for quality
  • The ability to focus and get the job done — if you're stopping to chat constantly, it's not going to work
  • Flexibility to pivot when necessary
  • Excellent communication
  • Learns quickly and doesn't need the same correction multiple times
EMPLOYMENT

This role starts as a 90-day contract position to make sure it's a good fit for both sides. From there, we'll bring you on full-time if it's working well, or part ways if it's not.

The pay structure is mentioned, and at this time we unfortunately don't offer any benefits.

HOW TO APPLY

Send an email including your resume and a bit about your sewing background and what would make you a good fit for this role.
