Machine Maintenance Technician

Express Employment Professionals Chula Vista is hiring for a Maintenance Technician in the Otay Mesa area.

Position Summary:

A manufacturing company in the Otay Mesa area is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician B to join their team. This position is ideal for a skilled maintenance professional with strong troubleshooting abilities and hands-on experience in a food manufacturing environment.

The Maintenance Technician B will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and supporting production equipment to minimize downtime and keep operations running efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on production and processing equipment.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production maintenance needs.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance according to established schedules.
• Support production by minimizing equipment downtime and identifying recurring mechanical issues.
• Follow all safety, food safety, sanitation, and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment issues to leadership.
• Assist with equipment installations, adjustments, and improvements as needed.
• Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician B or similar industrial maintenance role.
• Food manufacturing experience highly preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to diagnose equipment issues and perform repairs independently.
• Experience with industrial production, processing, or packaging equipment.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Must be available and flexible to work any shift, overtime, weekends, and varying schedules as business needs require.

Compensation & Opportunity

Starting pay: $31.00/hour, DOE
