Maintenance and Repair Lead

About the Role

We are seeking a Property Maintenance lead to support a growing real estate business in New York's Capital Region.
This role focuses primarily on property maintenance, reno and repair. No two days are the same. One day you may be repairing a sheetrock ceiling after a leak, working on an apartment bathroom renovation, cleaning a building lobby, or meeting an HVAC contractor; while the next you may be picking up supplies at Home Depot, painting a deck, clearing a clogged drain, using a weed whacker, or shoveling snow.

The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, is proactive, reliable and resourceful. They are comfortable working independently and able to interact confidently and respectfully with tenants. Most importantly, they are willing to jump in wherever needed, solve problems, and aren't afraid to roll up their sleeves.
Ideally this position is full-time, but we will consider ⅗ ths or ⅘ full- time equivalent for the right candidate. Some flexibility is possible in work hours, with some tasks able to be completed evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities
*Property Operations, Maintenance & Repairs
*Visit local properties as needed
*Respond to tenant apartment repair requests
*Complete apartment and building maintenance tasks
*Assist with apartment renovation work
*Assist with apartment tenant turnovers and move-in/move-out preparation
*Conduct routine property inspections and walkthroughs
*Meet contractors on-site
*Pick up supplies and run local errands
*Perform light cleaning and organization tasks
*Complete basic landscaping and seasonal snow removal
*Assist with coordinating maintenance and repair projects
*Respond to occasional after-hours/weekend property issues

Qualifications
*Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
*Excellent communication and customer service skills
*Ability to work independently and solve problems
*Experience performing maintenance, repairs, or other light reno work (handyman tasks such as painting and painting prep, drywall repair, basic plumbing and carpentry, floor and tile installation, etc.)
*Comfortable using basic hand and power tools
*Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
*Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb a ladder and perform physical tasks throughout the day
