Description
Maintenance Technician
StayReady | Denver Metro, Colorado
Part Time to Start | Thursday and Friday | Starting at $25 per hour
StayReady is hiring a hands on Maintenance Technician to support our hospitality field operations team across short-term rentals, furnished rentals, and boutique hospitality properties throughout the Denver area.
This is a part time position to start, primarily Thursdays and Fridays. The initial period will focus on training and learning our operating standards, properties, systems, and documentation requirements. After you complete the training and probationary period, weekend shifts will be added, with the opportunity for additional hours as the position develops.
StayReady is also in the middle of a significant market expansion. For the right person, there will be opportunities once fully trained to take on additional responsibility and potentially work in or relocate to other StayReady markets as we grow.
**What You Will Be Doing**
You will handle a mix of interior maintenance, exterior and seasonal work, troubleshooting, and guest facing service requests.
General maintenance and repairs:
- General repairs and property maintenance
- Basic plumbing, electrical, appliance, drywall, paint, and hardware repairs within your skill level
- Diagnosing maintenance issues and determining the appropriate next step
- Preventative maintenance inspections and scheduled property work
- Furniture assembly, mounting, adjustments, and minor installations
- Property readiness projects and punch lists
- Responding to time sensitive issues affecting guest stays
- Lawn care and exterior grounds maintenance
- Fall cleanup, including leaf removal and bed cleanouts
- Gutter cleaning
- Irrigation blowouts and seasonal shutdown
- Aeration, seeding, and fertilization
- Preparing exteriors for winter
- Shoveling and salting walkways, steps, driveways, and entries
- Monitoring ice conditions and keeping guest access safe
- Responding to snow events so properties are clear before guest arrivals
- Coordinating with specialized vendors when a repair requires licensed or outside support
- Documenting completed work with photos, notes, materials used, and recommendations through our field operations software
**What We Are Looking For**
We are looking for someone who can work independently, troubleshoot problems, communicate clearly, and take ownership of the condition of the properties they are assigned.
You should be:
- Comfortable with general residential maintenance and repairs
- Mechanically inclined and capable of diagnosing common property issues
- Comfortable with lawn care, grounds work, and snow removal equipment
- Able to work outdoors in Colorado weather, including winter conditions
- Reliable and able to manage a field schedule independently
- Comfortable working inside occupied and unoccupied hospitality properties
- Professional around guests, property owners, and operating partners
- Comfortable using a smartphone and mobile work order software
- Detail oriented with strong documentation habits
- Able to identify when a repair is within your capability and when specialized support is needed
- Willing to learn StayReady standards, systems, and operating procedures
**Vehicle, Tools, and Equipment**
- You must have your own vehicle and your own tools.
- Four-wheel drive is preferred, and it is required on mountain days.
- StayReady supplies the equipment for skilled and specialized tasks.
**Schedule**
The position will begin part time on Thursdays and Fridays.
The first stage of employment will include training and a probationary period. Once that is complete, the regular schedule will expand to include weekend availability, with the potential for additional days and hours based on performance and operational demand.
Snow removal is scheduled separately from the standard work days. It is weather driven, so you will need to be available when snow events call for it.
Because StayReady supports hospitality properties, some work may involve time sensitive service requests and changing field priorities. Some days will be spent at properties in the mountains.
**Pay**
Starting pay is $25 per hour.
