Maintenance Technician

Seeking Full Time Maintenance Technician for multi-site residential management company in Knoxville.

The right candidate will be eager to build a long term working relationship by fulfilling our open maintenance technician role. In summary, this candidate will be responsible for preparing vacant apartments for new tenants and performing standard repairs to both vacant and occupied apartments and grounds.

Qualifications include:

At least 2 year’s experience in a maintenance or construction position,
A valid driver’s license, high school diploma,
Reliable transportation to and from work (a truck preferred, for hauling materials.)
Must be able to lift up to 75lbs and transport supplies / tools between apartments and complexes.
Must be professional at all times with coworkers and residents.
Must be dependable, on time and have a good work ethic.
Must have excellent problem-solving skills. Maintenance Technicians will constantly be aware of the conditions of the property and proactively correct problems, within their ability, as they arise.
Must have basic carpentry skills, which would include hanging sheetrock.
Painting interior of units and grounds when necessary.
Plumbing knowledge
Minor electrical knowledge
Knowledge and experience laying laminate flooring

Other basic duties are;

Hanging cabinets, changing locks, be aware of utility meter shut-offs, apartment and fixture cut-offs, cleaning gutters, and basic landscaping,

Must have a constant awareness of the conditions of the property and proactively correct problems within their ability as they arise.

We are a drug free work environment. You must be able to pass a drug test and a background check.

Full-Time Monday through Friday 8:00 to 5:00.

Compensation depends on experience.
