Maintenance Technician

Base 3 Development is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician for our apartment buildings across Chicago.

We're a local company that owns and manages a growing number of buildings, from brand-new construction to walk-up apartments. We're looking for someone reliable who takes pride in their work and wants to grow with us.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Fix things residents report: plumbing, electrical, appliances, heating/cooling
• Get empty apartments ready for new residents (paint, patch, repairs)
• Keep our buildings in good shape with regular upkeep
• Meet outside contractors on site when a job needs a specialist
• Take turns being on call for emergencies (no heat, leaks, lockouts)

WHAT YOU NEED:

• 2+ years of apartment or residential maintenance experience
• Comfortable with basic plumbing, electrical, appliances, drywall and painting (HVAC is a plus)
• Able to work on your own
• Driver's license and a reliable car (you'll drive between buildings)
• Your own basic hand tools
• Able to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

SCHEDULE
Full-time, 40 hours a week, mostly weekdays during the day. Expect busier weeks in the summer.
