Maintenance Technician (Multi-Site / On-Call)

Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and self-sufficient Maintenance Technician to support a portfolio of residential properties throughout the San Francisco metropolitan area. This role is ideal for a well-rounded technician with experience in general maintenance, painting, and handyman services who is comfortable working across multiple property types, including Class A, B, and C apartment communities.
This position will begin as an on-call opportunity with the potential to grow into a consistent full-time role based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Perform general maintenance and repair tasks across multiple residential properties
Complete painting projects, touch-ups, and unit turns as needed
Handle basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs
Respond to work orders in a timely and professional manner
Conduct preventative maintenance and identify potential issues proactively
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding job status, materials, and timelines
Travel between job sites throughout San Francisco, East Bay, and Treasure Island
Requirements
Proven experience in general maintenance, handyman work, or property maintenance
Strong working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
Must own a reliable vehicle (truck preferred) capable of transporting tools and materials
Must provide and maintain your own tools and equipment
Valid California driver’s license and clean driving record
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor as needed
Willingness to travel throughout the Bay Area
