Maintenance Technician – Full-Time –Northside Apartment Portfolio

Forest Park Maintenance is seeking an experienced full-time Maintenance Technician to join our property management team. We own and manage approximately 500 apartment units throughout the Chicagoland area and are looking for a dependable, skilled technician who can handle a wide variety of apartment maintenance and repair work.

Responsibilities

Complete apartment maintenance and service requests
Prepare vacant units for new tenants
Plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, drains, disposals, and minor leaks
Electrical repairs, including outlets, switches, fixtures, and troubleshooting
Drywall repair, patching, and painting
Appliance repair and installation
Doors, locks, cabinets, flooring, and general carpentry
Basic HVAC troubleshooting and maintenance
Property inspections and preventative maintenance
Respond to occasional emergency maintenance issues
Travel between properties throughout Chicagoland as needed

Qualifications

Prior apartment maintenance, handyman, or construction experience required
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently
Experience with plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, and appliances
Reliable, professional, and organized
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Own basic hand tools
Comfortable using a smartphone for work orders and communication
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well with residents and management, and can complete jobs efficiently without sacrificing quality.

Full-time, year-round position.

Compensation: Approximately $25/hour, depending on experience and skill level. Potential opportunity for discounted apartment.
