Maintenance Worker

Solar Industries is a family-owned manufacturer specializing in windows, skylights, and doors. We are currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Worker to join our growing family. This candidate must be experienced in performing electrical and mechanical repairs on machinery and building needs.

Requirements:

Three (3) years’ experience required; five (5) years preferred.
Must be proficient in multimeter contractors, relays, and electric motors
Must be highly detail-oriented
Ability to attend to high degree of detail and accuracy
A strong work ethic
Ability to work independently on multiple tasks
Strong problem-solving skills
Trouble shoot and repair shop machinery
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on shop equipment
Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, machines and materials onto machines
Other duties as assigned

Work Environment

Work is performed in a warehouse/loading dock setting. Work may, on occasion, involve exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger-handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. This job uses a computer, calculator, phone, copier, printer, and fax machine. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
