Marine Mechanic's Helper - Gas & Diesel Engines and Drives ($28-$32/hr)

Admiralty Marine is a Volvo Penta dealer that has been servicing marine gasoline and diesel engines and drives in San Diego since 1968. We are hiring a full-time Mechanic's Helper to work alongside our technicians on yachts and work boats at marinas and boatyards around San Diego Bay and Mission Bay, and in our shop.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour, depending on experience

What you'll do:

• Assist technicians with service and repair of marine gasoline and diesel engines, sterndrives and IPS drives
• Oil and filter changes, impellers, anodes, bellows and fluid service
• Pull and stage parts, load and unload the service truck, keep tools and the shop organized
• Clean engine rooms and work areas before and after jobs
• Learn diagnostics and repair on Volvo Penta engines and drives

What we're looking for:

• Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn
• Comfortable working in tight engine rooms and on boats in the water and on the hard
• Reliable, on time and a team player
• Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Marine, automotive or diesel experience is a plus, but not required
