Key Responsibilities
Conduct State Inspections: Perform comprehensive safety inspections on passenger cars (and commercial vehicles, if applicable) to verify strict compliance with Maryland state safety regulations.
Assess Critical Systems: Thoroughly evaluate vehicle mechanical and electrical systems, including brakes, steering, suspension, tires, and electrical components.
Hands-On Maintenance & Repair: Perform basic vehicle maintenance as needed
Diagnose & Troubleshoot: Utilize hand and power tools to identify mechanical issues.
Accurate Documentation: Document inspection findings.
Customer & Team Support: Provide clear, friendly explanations of inspection results to vehicle owners and assist with auto estimating for recommended repairs.
Skills & Qualifications
Must possess an active Maryland State Inspector (MSI) License.
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance, repair, and diagnostic procedures.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to translate technical jargon into clear, helpful feedback for clients.
Physical capability to lift heavy objects safely and navigate a fast-paced shop environment.
