Mason/Plasterer/Maintenance

The Lilypad Garden and Farm School is looking for an individual to perform ongoing repairs and maintenance to our buildings, fences and facilities. We have many areas that require upkeep such as lime plaster on the buildings, plaster water features/splash pad and fencing in need of ongoing repair. We additionally have lots of grounds work and barn work to complete regularly and ongoing maintenance inside the facility as well with basic handyman type repairs.

Job duties:

Repair/respread areas of plaster on buildings, water feature and fences as needed
Perform simple repairs and painting around the school
Pulling weeds as needed in garden beds and the grounds
Distributing soil and mulch in large quantities frequently across the property with a pitchfork/shovel and wheelbarrow
Planting new plant starts and flowers when needed
Cutting grass with riding lawn mower and using an edger as needed
Mucking out the barn yard and stalls
Feed and water barn yard animals

Experience and Skills

Masonry (skilled experience)
Plaster (skilled experience)
Carpentry (mid level experience)
Plumbing (mid level experience)
Grounds keeping (basic experience)
Animal knowledge (basic experience)

CLEAR CRIMINAL BACKGROUND REQUIRED

Work Schedule:

FT hours, Saturday and/or Sunday required work days since the kids are not around and we can work in classrooms on those days
