Masonry Laborer

SL Jensen Construction is seeking a Masonry Tender/Laborer to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a hard-working, dependable individual who enjoys hands-on work and thrives in a team environment. As a Masonry Tender/Laborer, you’ll play a vital support role in helping our masons and field crews deliver high-quality results on time and with precision.

What You’ll Do

As a Masonry Tender/Laborer, you’ll support our masonry crews by keeping job sites safe, clean, and productive. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and mixing mortar or grout using hand tools or mixing machines
• Transporting bricks, blocks, stone, and other materials to masons using wheelbarrows or forklifts
• Setting up scaffolding and safety railings as directed
• Cleaning work areas, tools, and equipment at the end of each shift
• Assisting masons with placing and finishing masonry materials as needed
• Monitoring and maintaining adequate supply of materials at workstations
• Performing general labor tasks such as demolition, excavation, or basic carpentry
• Following all job site safety rules and company policies
• Being punctual and reliable each day with a strong team-first attitude

What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who is physically capable, safety-conscious, and takes pride in supporting skilled craftsmanship. The ideal candidate will have:

• 1+ year of construction or general labor experience (preferred)
• Experience assisting with masonry or concrete work (preferred but not required)
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites in the Omaha area
• The ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• A strong work ethic and willingness to learn and grow on the job
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• A commitment to safety and quality on every task
