Master Carpenter — Full Time, Year Round, W2 — $30-45/hr

We are looking for one very good carpenter. Not a helper, not a crew slot.

You can build a deck from the footings up, including sonotubes or helical piles and cable rail. You can cut rot back to sound framing and sister it properly instead of filling it. You can run siding, trim, porches, and exterior doors. In the winter you can do finish carpentry, built-ins, cabinets, stairs, and flooring.

We also need you to teach. We have a young carpenter ready to learn this properly and a crew that handles light carpentry already. Bringing them along is part of the job, not an afterthought.

This is a W2 job, full time, year round. Not seasonal. Not 1099. $30 to $45 an hour depending on what you can actually do, and the top of that range is real for the right person.

Community Works does exterior painting, carpentry, deck restoration, and exterior cleaning for homeowners around Great Burlington and the route 89 corridor. We take fewer jobs and do them properly.
