Position Summary

Enviro-Equipment, Inc. is seeking an experienced, hands-on Master Electrician to lead the electrical side of our environmental remediation system fabrication, installation, startup, and service operations.

This is not a residential service-electrician position and not a desk-only management role. We need a skilled electrician who can take ownership of a project from electrical drawings and component selection through panel fabrication, conduit, wiring, testing, startup, and troubleshooting.

The Master Electrician will perform and oversee electrical work in our fabrication facility as well as support field installations, system startups, troubleshooting, and repairs. This individual will also provide technical leadership and training to electrical apprentices, helpers, and tradesmen.

The right candidate takes pride in clean electrical work, understands industrial equipment and controls, solves problems without needing constant direction, and expects work leaving the shop to be done correctly.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Remediation System Electrical Fabrication

Lead and perform electrical fabrication of custom environmental remediation systems.

Layout, install, and wire electrical control panels and system components.

Bend and install EMT, rigid conduit, flexible conduit, and other raceway systems as required.

Properly size conductors, conduit, breakers, disconnects, overload protection, and related electrical components.

Pull, terminate, identify, and test power and control wiring.

Wire motors, pumps, blowers, compressors, heaters, instrumentation, relays, contactors, VFDs, control transformers, and other industrial equipment.

Read and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, equipment drawings, and manufacturer documentation.

Maintain high standards for panel layout, wire management, labeling, workmanship, and overall appearance.

2. Electrical Design & Code Compliance

Review electrical requirements for custom remediation systems before fabrication begins.

Assist with development and review of electrical schematics and control-panel designs.

Determine appropriate electrical components and installation methods.

Ensure electrical work complies with applicable NEC requirements, electrical codes, company standards, and project specifications.

Identify electrical design conflicts or potential problems before they reach fabrication or the field.

Work with engineering, project management, and fabrication personnel to develop practical solutions.

Verify completed systems are properly wired, protected, grounded, labeled, and ready for testing and deployment.

3. System Testing, Startup & Troubleshooting

Perform electrical inspections and testing before equipment leaves the facility.

Verify voltage, rotation, amperage, control functions, safety circuits, and equipment operation.

Troubleshoot electrical and control problems using meters, schematics, and systematic diagnostic procedures.

Support field installation and startup of remediation equipment.

Diagnose failed components, incorrect wiring, control problems, motor issues, and other electrical deficiencies.

Make repairs and modifications necessary to return equipment to safe, reliable operation.

Communicate technical problems and recommended corrective actions clearly to project managers, technicians, and customers.

4. Electrical Leadership

Serve as Enviro-Equipment's senior electrical technical resource.

Direct and oversee electrical apprentices, helpers, and other trades personnel.

Train employees on proper electrical installation, troubleshooting, testing, and safety practices.

Inspect work performed by electrical personnel before systems are released.

Establish expectations for workmanship, productivity, organization, and accountability.

Help develop electrical procedures and standards that improve consistency and quality.

Take ownership of electrical problems and drive them through resolution.

Required Qualifications

Current Master Electrician license or equivalent licensing acceptable for the position and jurisdictions in which work is performed.

Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Significant hands-on commercial or industrial electrical experience.

Strong experience bending and installing conduit.

Ability to properly size conductors, breakers, conduit, disconnects, overloads, and related electrical components.

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Experience with 120/208/240/480 VAC systems.
