Automotive Mechanic / Technician – Torrance, CA

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Automotive Mechanic/Technician to join our shop in Torrance, CA. We are looking for someone who can work independently, understands vehicle systems, and takes pride in quality workmanship.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Must have your own set of tools
Diagnostic scanner is a plus
Must be able to independently perform oil changes and routine maintenance with little to no supervision
Must be experienced with brake repair and replacement
Must be able to perform suspension repairs and replacement
Must be familiar with parking/e-brake systems
Have a good overall understanding of vehicle systems and functionality
Able to properly inspect vehicles and identify needed repairs or maintenance
Communicate clearly with other technicians, management, and customers when needed
Able to lift 50 lbs or more as necessary
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Help keep shop bays, equipment, and common work areas clean

Qualifications

Previous professional automotive repair shop experience required (must have in-shop experience, school does not count)
Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
Able to complete assigned repairs efficiently and correctly
Strong attention to detail and safety

Pay is based on actual experience and skill level - come in for interview and trial.

We are looking for someone interested in a stable position with a local automotive repair shop and opportunities to take on additional responsibility based on experience and performance.
