Successful Construction company serving the Peninsula and South Bay for over 30 years is seeking highly qualified Mechanic.

We’re Hiring: Experienced Mechanic with Fabrication & Welding Skills for Construction Equipment!
We’re looking for a skilled and experienced Mechanic with at least 3 years of hands-on experience. You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and fabricating parts for a range of construction and heavy equipment, including Bobcats, rollers, paving machines, trucks (small and large), and trailers. If you have a solid mechanical background, welding/fabrication skills, and a valid CDL, we want you on our team!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical Repairs & Maintenance: Perform routine and emergency maintenance and repairs on construction equipment, including Bobcats, rollers, paving machines, trucks, and trailers.
  • Fabrication & Welding: Use welding and fabrication skills to repair, modify, or fabricate parts to ensure machinery operates at peak performance.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Inspections: Conduct regular inspections to identify issues, ensure proper function, and maintain safety standards.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, maintenance schedules, and inventory.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure that all repairs and maintenance meet safety standards and industry regulations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work efficiently both independently and with a team to ensure timely completion of repairs.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Mechanic working with construction and heavy equipment (Bobcats, rollers, paving machines, trucks, trailers).
  • Valid CDL (California Driver’s License) is required. (Class A a plus!)
  • Strong welding and fabrication skills (MIG, TIG, Stick welding) to repair and fabricate parts for heavy machinery.
  • Solid knowledge of mechanical systems in construction equipment and trucks (both small and large).
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle complex mechanical challenges.
  • Any additional certifications, such as welding certifications or specific heavy equipment training, are a plus.
