Mechanic-Shop Manager – Private Air-Conditioned Shop

We're looking for an experienced Lead Mechanic to run the day-to-day operations of our private fleet maintenance shop.

This is not a helper position. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, keeps things organized, and treats the shop like it's their own.

Our shop is heated and air-conditioned, clean, organized, and well-equipped. We maintain our own fleet of vehicles—no retail customers, no dealership pressure, and no flat-rate headaches.

We're a laid-back team that enjoys coming to work. We like to have fun, help each other out, and take pride in doing quality work.

What You'll Be Working On

Fleet of mostly Ford and Chevy pickup trucks
Preventive maintenance and repairs
Engine, suspension, steering, brake, and electrical repairs
Occasional trailers, small engines, and miscellaneous equipment
Your Responsibilities
Run the shop's day-to-day operations
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues
Keep the fleet safe, reliable, and on schedule
Plan and prioritize repairs
Keep the shop clean, organized, and efficient
Work independently while communicating with management
Help maintain a professional, positive work environment
What We're Looking For
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Experience working on Ford and Chevy pickup trucks
Ability to diagnose problems rather than just replace parts
Organized and detail-oriented
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
Honest, dependable, and takes ownership
Leadership experience is a plus

Experience with major engine repairs, timing chains, and cam phasers is a plus, but we're primarily looking for someone with excellent diagnostic skills who can confidently run the shop.
