Agricultural Mechanic and Welder

Nature’s Way Farms is looking for a dependable, organized, and motivated Agricultural Welder and Mechanic to join our team. This position’s primary responsibility is welding, fabrication, maintenance, and repair of agricultural equipment and structures.
Previous welding (and mechanic) experience is required. Just as important, we are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a strong work ethic, pays attention to detail, works safely, and genuinely wants to be part of a team.
For more than 40 years, Nature’s Way Farms has been one of South Florida’s largest growers of tropical landscape shrubs and ornamental plants. With hundreds of acres in production, we proudly supply garden centers and major retailers throughout the United States.
Job Responsibilities
· Safely, accurately, and efficiently maintain, repair, and modify agricultural equipment, machinery, and related structures.
· Perform welding repairs and fabrication based on drawings, layouts, measurements, or verbal instructions.
· Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and specialty alloys.
· Lay out, measure, cut, fit, and assemble metal components using plasma cutters, torches, saws, and other shop tools and equipment.
· Follow established procedures, work orders, and planned maintenance schedules while responding to emergency repairs as directed by supervision.
· Complete welding and fabrication projects efficiently and accurately with minimal supervision.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
· Accurately record repair work, materials, and parts used on work orders.
· Work outdoors and in various weather conditions as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous welding experience is required.
• Experience with agricultural equipment, machinery repair
• Ability to safely operate welding equipment, cutting tools, and shop equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to safely perform physical work in a farm and shop environment.
• Must be willing to pitch in and assist in other areas of the operation when needed.
