Mechanical Assistant - Entry Level/No Exp Reqd/Immediate Hire

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Mechanical Assistant to support our mechanical, construction, and equipment installation operations. This is an entry-level position, and no previous mechanical experience is required. The right candidate should have a strong mechanical aptitude, willingness to learn, and a positive attitude.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who may not have extensive mechanical experience but has a strong mechanical aptitude, great attitude, and willingness to learn.

Mechanical aptitude means a person has a natural ability to understand, work with, and troubleshoot machines, tools, and mechanical systems—even if they don't have formal experience or training.

Has A Strong Desire to Understanding How Things Work — Mechanical systems, equipment, tools, and basic electronics work together. Able to learn how to operate, assemble, disassemble, troubleshoot, and maintain mechanical equipment. Comfortable using hand and power tools, following instructions and diagrams, thinking through mechanical problems

• Working comfortably with tools — hand tools, power tools, measuring tools, and equipment.
• Problem-solving — figuring out why something isn't working and thinking through possible solutions.
• Being observant — noticing unusual sounds, movement, wear, leaks, or other problems.
• Following instructions and diagrams — understanding basic drawings, measurements, and procedures.

• Learning quickly — being able to learn mechanical skills through on-the-job training.

On-the-Job Training
Full on-the-job training will be provided. The Mechanical Assistant will work alongside experienced technicians and installers to learn proper procedures, tools, equipment operation, installation techniques, job-site safety, and basic mechanical skills.

Travel Requirements:

Must be willing and able to travel throughout the Houston area and across Texas as needed. Occasional travel outside of Texas may also be required depending on project and company needs. Pier Diem is Paid Out.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist experienced mechanics and technicians with daily work.
• Help with installation, assembly, repair, and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Load, unload, organize, and transport tools and materials.
• Use basic hand and power tools under supervision.
• Assist with measuring, drilling, cutting, fastening, and assembling materials.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow company safety procedures and job-site requirements.
• Learn to read basic drawings, measurements, and installation instructions.
• Assist with elevator, mechanical, construction, or industrial projects as assigned.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisors or experienced technicians.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Comfortable working with hand and power tools or willing to learn.
• Ability to perform physical work, including lifting and moving materials.
• Good attitude and willingness to work in a hands-on environment.
• Ability to follow safety rules and company procedures.
• Previous construction, mechanical, electrical, industrial, refinery, automotive, or maintenance experience is a plus but not required.
