Mechanically Inclined Self Motivated Shop Hand

We are seeking a versatile Shop Hand to support daily shop operations. You will handle equipment maintenance, assist with mechanical repairs, and ensure a clean, organized workspace. This role requires a blend of light automotive, small engine, and construction knowledge.
Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair small engines like lawnmowers, chainsaws, and generators.
• Perform light automotive maintenance including oil changes, fluid checks, and basic troubleshooting.
• Inspect, clean, and prep construction tools and heavy equipment for use.
• Perform light residential construction.
• Organize shop inventory, tools, and hardware.
• Demolition and dismantling of HVAC units.
• Load and unload materials using forklifts or hand trucks.
• Perform basic building facility repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free shop environment.
• Follow all established OSHA safety protocols and company guidelines.
• Assist senior mechanics and job supervisors with complex repairs.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience with small engine repair and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of basic automotive mechanics and hand tools.
• Familiarity with construction equipment, materials, and hand/power tools.
• Ability to be a self-motivated worker and always stay on task.
• Strong physical stamina to lift to 50 pounds regularly.
• Basic computer skills for tracking parts and inventory logging.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
