The New Motor is a custom architectural millwork and metal fabrication studio in Red Hook, Brooklyn. We design, engineer, build, and install high-end custom millwork and metalwork for architects, designers, brands, and general contractors. We don't cut corners — we bring serious attention to detail and stand behind everything we make.

We're looking for an experienced Metal Fabricator to join our shop.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Fabricate custom architectural and display metalwork in steel, aluminum, stainless, and brass
MIG and TIG welding with clean, finish-quality results
Cut, grind, form, drill, and assemble to tight tolerances
Read and work from shop drawings and cut lists
Build jigs and fixtures, and figure out the smart way to make tricky parts
Prep pieces for finishing and help with on-site installation when needed

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Solid hands-on metal fabrication experience (custom / architectural / display a big plus)
Strong MIG and TIG welding skills; clean welds that finish well
Comfortable reading shop drawings and taking accurate measurements
Safe, organized, and detail-obsessed
Able to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet in a shop environment
