METAL FABRICATOR / WELDER – ART FABRICATION COMPANY

Vernon/Los Angeles, CA | Full-Time

We are a leading art fabrication company and foundry in Vernon, CA seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Metal Fabricator / Welder to join our growing team.

We are looking for someone with traditional metal fabrication experience, preferably with strong MIG and TIG welding skills. We are also open to someone earlier in their career who has solid fundamentals, good mechanical aptitude, and a strong desire to learn and develop.

Our team produces complex, large-scale sculptures and artworks for leading contemporary artists. Projects vary considerably and require precision, problem-solving, craftsmanship, and an extremely high level of attention to detail.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

MIG and TIG welding

Metal fabrication, fit-up, and assembly
Stainless steel, mild steel, aluminum, and/or bronze
Accurate measuring, layout, cutting, and fitting
Grinding, sanding, blending, and weld finishing
Fabrication from drawings, dimensions, and templates
Experience with standard shop, welding, and power tools
Ability to read shop drawings and welding symbols is a plus
Custom fabrication, architectural metalwork, sculpture, automotive, aerospace, or similar precision fabrication experience is a plus
Rigging, Art / Sculpture Fabrication, Structural Fabrication, Jig & Fixture Building ,Installation, & Metal Forming / Rolling also a plus

Experienced fabricators are preferred, but we are willing to train the right person who demonstrates strong fundamentals, work ethic, reliability, and a genuine desire to become a highly skilled fabricator.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys custom fabrication rather than repetitive production work. Every project presents different challenges, materials, forms, and fabrication requirements.

Compensation: Hourly based on experience and demonstrated skill level, problem-solving, and contribution to the team.
