MID-LEVEL MAINTENANCE / APARTMENT TURNOVER TECHNICIAN – FULL TIME
Maintenance/Apartment Turn over
Description
We are a Buffalo-area property management company looking for a reliable, experienced Maintenance / Turnover Technician to join our team.
This is a hands-on position working primarily in apartment buildings and rental properties. We are looking for someone who can work independently, troubleshoot problems, and complete most routine maintenance and apartment turnover work without constant supervision.
Responsibilities include:
- Apartment turnovers and make-ready work
- Drywall repair and patching
- Interior painting and touch-ups
- Basic plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, drains, and minor leaks
- Basic electrical repairs, including outlets, switches, fixtures, and troubleshooting
- Installing doors, locks, trim, cabinets, shelving, and hardware
- Minor carpentry and general repairs
- Flooring repairs and replacement
- Responding to tenant maintenance requests
- Identifying maintenance problems and determining what is needed to properly repair them
- Keeping work areas and vacant apartments clean and ready for occupancy
This is a mid-level position, not an entry-level helper position. You do not need to be an expert in every trade, but you should have solid general maintenance experience and be comfortable completing common repairs on your own.
You must be dependable, show up on time, communicate well, and take pride in doing the job correctly.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Prior apartment maintenance, construction, handyman, or similar experience
- Reliable car or truck required
- Must have your own basic hand and power tools
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel between properties in the Buffalo area
- Ability to work independently
- Reliable attendance and good communication
- Ability to safely perform physical maintenance work, including lifting, carrying, climbing ladders, and working on your feet
- Professional and respectful when dealing with tenants and other employees
- Full-time, year-round work
- Steady workload
- Competitive pay based on experience
- Opportunity for advancement
- Established local property management company
- Variety of work rather than doing the same task every day
To apply, please respond to this ad with your name, phone number, brief description of your maintenance/construction experience, and when you are available to start.
Please also confirm that you have reliable transportation and your own tools.
We are looking to hire someone who is dependable and wants steady, long-term work.
