MIG / TIG WELDER – $22–$25/HR – 4/10 SWING SHIFT

Location: Rancho Cordova, CA

Pay: $22.00–$25.00/hour, depending on experience + SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL FOR 2ND SHIFT
Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 2:30 PM–12:30 AM
Shift: Swing Shift / 2nd Shift
Schedule: 4 days per week / 10-hour shifts

We are currently hiring an experienced MIG/TIG Welder for a manufacturing and fabrication company in Rancho Cordova.

This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on welding or metal fabrication experience who is looking for a 4/10 schedule with Fridays off.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of metal materials
Fabricate, join, and repair metal components
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings
Select the correct gas, wire, and welding materials for each job
Perform groove, fillet, lap, butt, and full-penetration welds
Complete multi-pass welds and stack-ups as required
Use oxy-acetylene and plasma torches to cut materials
Perform carbon air arc cutting as required
Fabricate basic fixtures for welding and fabrication work
Straighten and correct welded parts as needed
Visually inspect completed welds for quality and defects
Inspect welding equipment and tools for safe operation
Operate a forklift as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
At least 6 months of welding, sheet metal, or metal fabrication experience
Hands-on experience with MIG and TIG welding
Ability to perform basic butt and fillet welds
Ability to read blueprints and technical instructions
Basic math skills
Strong attention to detail and weld quality
Ability to safely operate welding and fabrication equipment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to obtain AWS D1.1 or D1.3 welding certifications as required
Forklift certification is a plus; must be able to obtain certification if needed
PHYSICAL / WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position works in a manufacturing and fabrication shop and requires the ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift, and work around heavy materials and welding equipment. Proper PPE and safety procedures are required.
