Athena Manufacturing is growing, and we are ready to meet skilled machinists who want more than just another job. We are currently hiring for:
- CNC Mill Machinist I
- CNC Lathe Machinist I
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Operate CNC mills or CNC lathes to produce precision components
- Read work orders, specifications, and manufacturing instructions
- Set machine controls, cutting tools, fixtures, and materials
- Perform milling, turning, drilling, tapping, deburring, and bench operations
- Monitor machine feeds, speeds, performance, and part quality
- Use micrometers, calipers, and other inspection tools to verify dimensions and tolerances
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- For Lathe candidates: Live-tooling experience is especially valuable
- High school diploma or GED
- Approximately two years of consistent work experience; machining experience is preferred
- Basic computer and technology skills
- A safety-first mindset and strong attention to detail
- A dependable, coachable team member who is open to learning
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of a manufacturing position, with or without reasonable accommodation
