# Mobile Battery & Jump Start Technician (1099) – Chicago Area

### About the Position

Chicity Roadside is looking for an experienced **Mobile Battery & Jump Start Technician** to join our team. We specialize in on-site battery replacements and jump starts throughout the Chicago area.

This is a **1099 independent contractor position**. We dispatch jobs directly to you, allowing you to earn without having to find your own customers.

### REQUIREMENTS (Please Read Carefully)

**You MUST:**

• Have experience replacing batteries on a wide variety of vehicles (domestic, European, and Asian).
• Be able to safely perform jump starts on all common vehicle types.
• Own all tools necessary to complete battery replacements and jump starts.
• Have a reliable personal vehicle.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Have a smartphone with reliable service.
• Be professional, punctual, and provide excellent customer service.

## REQUIRED AVAILABILITY (NON-NEGOTIABLE)

You **MUST*

• be available:
• **Monday through Friday**
• **7:00 AM – 5:00 PM minimum**

Applicants who **cannot consistently work these hours will not be considered.**

Weekend availability is a plus but not required.

### Pay

• **20% commission on every completed call**
• We currently dispatch **2–3 calls per day** to each technician, depending on demand and your location.
• **Most technicians earn approximately $50–$100 per completed call**, so your earnings can stack up quickly over the course of the day.
• Dependable technicians who consistently accept dispatches may receive additional call opportunities as business grows.
