Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience working with diesel engines, particularly in the maintenance and repair of tractor-trailer units and industrial equipment. This role requires a hands-on approach to diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring all equipment operates efficiently and safely.

Duties

Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including but not limited to tractor-trailer units.
Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
Repair or replace components such as air brakes, shocks, struts, and other essential parts.
Fabricate parts as necessary to ensure optimal performance of machinery.
Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with the repair of large equipment.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of work orders.
Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications

Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in diesel mechanics or related field.
Familiarity with industrial equipment and the ability to work on cranes is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to transmit technical information effectively within the team.
Must be capable of performing heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
A valid driver's license may be required for certain positions or tasks.
