Dave’s Tree Service is seeking a reliable and skilled Part-Time Mobile Mechanic to help maintain and repair our small fleet of trucks, trailers, and tree care equipment. This is a flexible, part-time position ideal for someone who already has weekday work but wants extra hours.

Position Details

Hours: 10–15 hours per week
Schedule: Mostly Saturdays (flexible)
Location: Moore County, NC
Type: Part-time / Independent Contractor
Pay: Competitive and based on experience

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance on trucks, trailers, saws, and small engine equipment
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on-site
Keep basic service logs for each unit
Identify upcoming repairs and communicate priorities
Assist with preventative maintenance to avoid breakdowns
Maintain a clean and safe work area

Equipment You’ll Work On

Pickup trucks & dump trucks
Trailers (brakes, wiring, tires, bearings)
Chainsaws & small engines
Stump grinders
Heavy equipment (optional, if experienced)

Requirements

Strong mechanical experience (automotive or small engine)
Must have own tools and reliable transportation
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Must be dependable and punctual
Welding skills are a plus but not required
Prior experience with landscaping or tree service equipment is helpful
