Position Summary
The Ramp Installer assembles and installs prefabricated aluminum wheelchair ramps at residential and commercial properties throughout the Kansas City area. This position is performed year-round and almost exclusively outdoors.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, relocate, and remove modular ramp systems.
  • Review layouts, verify measurements, and identify site conditions.
  • Safely operate hand and power tools.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and explain completed installations.
  • Complete job documentation, photos, and quality inspections.
  • Maintain organized vehicles, trailers, tools, and inventory.
Requirements
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to use common hand and power tools.
  • Ability to accurately measure and follow installation drawings.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance or equipment.
  • Professional appearance, strong communication, and accountability.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Must be able to successfully pass background screening and maintain eligibility to work on government-related projects.
  • Smartphone/tablet proficiency.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Work is performed almost exclusively outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions.
  • Regular kneeling, bending, climbing, walking on uneven terrain, and lifting ramp components (up to 100 lbs with assistance/equipment).
  • Daily loading and unloading of trucks and trailers.
  • Ability to work safely in residential, commercial, and construction environments.
Hours, Pay, and Benefits
  • Monday-Friday, approximately 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
  • $24-$28/hour depending on experience.
  • Paid holidays and PTO.
