Benjis Autobody is looking for a highly experienced, hands-on Body Technician / Combo Technician who knows how to repair vehicles properly, can repair bumpers, perform body work, and understands modern collision repair procedures.

We need someone who can work independently, take ownership of their jobs, and keep production moving without needing to be told what to do every step of the way.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Perform quality body and collision repairs
Repair and refinish damaged bumpers, including plastic bumper repairs
Perform body repairs, panel replacement, fitting, and alignment
Perform teardown and identify additional damage
Follow proper OEM and industry repair procedures
Understand modern collision repair methods and stay up to date with repair procedures
Properly fit and align body panels, doors, hoods, bumpers, fenders, and other components
Work efficiently while maintaining high-quality repairs
Communicate parts or repair issues before they hold up production
Keep your work area organized
Work with the rest of the team to keep vehicles moving through production
Inspect your own work and make sure the vehicle is ready for the next stage
Help less-experienced technicians when needed

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:

Has strong experience in collision/body repair
Is experienced with bumper repair and plastic repair
Is a strong "combo" technician who can handle different types of body work
Understands modern vehicles and current collision repair procedures
Keeps up with OEM repair procedures and industry standards
Can read and understand repair orders and estimates
Can identify what a vehicle needs without constantly being directed
Can work independently
Has experience leading other technicians or taking responsibility for a job
Has excellent attention to detail
Takes pride in their workmanship
Understands the importance of keeping production moving
Shows up ready to work and doesn't need to be micromanaged

WE NEED A SELF-STARTER

We're looking for the type of technician who walks up to a vehicle and already knows what needs to happen.

You shouldn't have to be told:

"What do I work on?"

"What's next?"

"What parts do I need?"

"Is this ready?"

You should be able to look at the repair, understand the repair order, make a plan, and get to work.

If you see a problem, speak up.

If something needs to be done, handle it.

If you finish your job, look for the next thing that needs attention.

THE RIGHT PERSON:

You're an experienced body technician who can work independently, produce quality repairs, help lead the team, and stay current with today's collision repair procedures.
