Now Hiring: Experienced Grading Foremen, Operators, & Grade Checkers

Pacific Grading & Erosion Control, Inc. is seeking dependable, safety-focused individuals to join our team for full time work. We have immediate openings for experienced Grading Operators and Grade Checkers, as well as Experienced Foremen who are ready and willing to work through out San Diego County.

Available Positions:

**Grading Operators**

• Operate machinery and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform rough and finish grading according to project plans and specifications
• Complete daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
• Work closely with supervisors and ground crews
• Previous grading or heavy-equipment experience is required

**Grade Checkers**

• Read and interpret grading plans, elevations, stakes, and specifications
• Check grades using lasers, levels, GPS, and other surveying equipment
• Set stakes and communicate grade information to equipment operators
• Help ensure work meets project tolerances and requirements
• Previous grade-checking or construction surveying experience is required

**Grading Foremen**

• Assist equipment operators and other crew members
• Check with construction superintendent/company superintendent for morning work schedule
• Makes sure employees have the right tools and equipment needed for the job in order to ensure a good output
• Monitor a crew of 1-5 persons per job site
• Complete daily timesheets with job descriptions an hours completed per job
• Hold weekly safety meetings
• Call equipment off in timely manner to dispatch
• Perform site preparation, cleanup, digging, spotting, and material handling
• Follow all safety procedures and make sure they are being followed by crew.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and job-site conditions
• Construction experience in Grading sector is required

General Requirements:

• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
• Ability to work safely as part of a team
• Ability to perform physical work and lift up to 50 pounds
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends when required
• Valid driver’s license with clean record required for Operators & Foreman

Pay: Hourly & Weekly. Operator, GC & Foreman start from $30+
Schedule: Monday -Friday 7AM to 3:30PM, and occasional Saturday's
