Our well-established, high-volume auto repair shop in Fairfax is looking for a organized, customer-focused Service Writer / Service Advisor to manage front-of-house operations. We stay consistently busy year-round, so we need someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly with customers, and keeps our mechanics productive.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Software Experience: Hands-on proficiency with shop management software, or willing to learn (e.g., Mitchell1, Shopware, Tekmetric, RO Writer, or similar).

Ticketing & Parts: Proven experience writing accurate repair estimates, creating detailed work orders, ordering parts efficiently, and tracking job progress.

Shop Flow: Ability to manage workflow between the front counter and the shop floor to keep technicians busy and turn times fast.

People Skills: Exceptional customer service skills—you can translate technical jargon into clear advice, build long-term customer trust, and handle busy phone lines with confidence.

Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of automotive maintenance, diagnostics, and general repair processes.
