Position Overview

Pacific Motorcycle Training is looking for a reliable, hands-on Part-Time Operations Assistant / Motorcycle Mechanic to help support the day-to-day operations of our motorcycle training schools.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with motorcycles, is mechanically inclined, and is comfortable helping with a variety of operational tasks. The role will involve motorcycle maintenance and repairs, moving and setting up trailers and equipment, preparing motorcycles and training areas, and assisting with general school operations.

Responsibilities

Perform basic motorcycle maintenance, inspections, adjustments, and repairs.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify maintenance needs.
Help keep the school's motorcycle fleet safe, clean, and operational.
Assist with oil changes, brake service, chain maintenance, tire-related work, battery maintenance, and other routine service.
Load, unload, move, and help position motorcycle trailers and equipment.
Assist with transporting motorcycles, trailers, cones, training equipment, and other supplies as needed.
Set up and break down motorcycle training areas.
Some travel required to our different locations and vendors.
Help prepare motorcycles and equipment before training classes.
Assist instructors and staff with day-to-day school operations.
Keep the shop, trailers, motorcycles, and equipment organized and maintained.
Perform occasional facility, equipment, and general maintenance tasks.
Assist with inventory, parts, tools, and supplies.
Follow all company safety procedures and help maintain a safe training environment.

Qualifications

Motorcycle mechanical experience preferred.
Strong interest in motorcycles and motorcycle maintenance.
Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to use common hand tools.
Having own tools a big plus.
Ability to troubleshoot problems and work independently.
Reliable, dependable, and punctual.
Comfortable performing physical work, including lifting and moving motorcycles and equipment.
Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions when needed.
Good organizational and communication skills.
Valid driver's license with M1 prefered and a clean driving record
Experience towing or maneuvering trailers is a plus.
Motorcycle riding experience is a plus.
Ability to maintain a professional, safety-focused attitude around students, instructors, and customers.

Physical Requirements--The position requires the ability to:

Lift and move motorcycle-related equipment and supplies.
Push, pull, and maneuver motorcycles and trailers.
Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work with tools for extended periods.
Safely load and unload motorcycles and equipment.
Work outdoors as needed.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a dependable, mechanically capable motorcycle enthusiast who enjoys working with their hands and isn't afraid to jump in wherever help is needed. This is a hands-on position with a variety of responsibilities, so flexibility and a willingness to learn are important.

Someone with motorcycle shop, dealership, racing, powersports, automotive, fabrication, or general mechanical experience would be a strong fit.

Compensation & Schedule

Part-time — $20-$25 with room for growth

Hours may vary based on training schedules, motorcycle maintenance needs, events, and operational requirements. Flexible scheduling may be available for the right candidate.
