Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Outdoor Lighting Installer to join our team. In this role, you will work outdoors to install, service, and maintain custom landscape and architectural lighting systems.
Experience as an electrician or working with low-voltage lighting systems is preferred, but not required. If you have a strong work ethic, comfort with hands-on labor, and a positive attitude, we are happy to train the right candidate!
Key Responsibilities
Installation: Set up low-voltage landscape lighting fixtures, transformers, wiring, timers, and smart controllers according to design plans.
Trenching & Cabling: Hand-trench small paths (2–6 inches deep) in lawn and garden beds to bury low-voltage wiring safely and neatly.
System Testing & Troubleshooting: Test connections, adjust beam angles, set timers, and troubleshoot existing lighting systems.
Site Maintenance & Cleanup: Ensure properties are left clean, restored, and undamaged after every job.
Customer Interaction: Communicate professionally with homeowners and property managers, demonstrating how to use controls when needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Prior experience as an electrician, low-voltage technician, landscaper, or general handyman is preferred but not required—we will train the right person.
Physical Stamina: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, lift up to 50 lbs, perform light digging/hand trenching, and work on ladders safely.
Tools & Skills: Comfort using basic hand and power tools (wire strippers, drills, shovels, voltmeters).
Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
Attitude: Punctual, reliable, detail-oriented, and proud of doing clean work.
On-the-job training and skill development in low-voltage electrical systems and landscape design.
Safety gear, tools, and company uniform provided.
Clear career progression paths to Lead Technician or Crew Leader positions.
