Painter

Menger Creek Builders is looking for an experienced Painter / Cabinet Painter & Finisher to join our team. Our projects include custom cabinetry, residential construction, remodeling, trim, and detailed finish work throughout Boerne and the surrounding Texas Hill Country.
We are looking for someone dependable and detail-oriented who can consistently produce clean, professional-quality finishes.
Responsibilities

• Prepare cabinets, doors, trim, and wood surfaces for finishing
• Sand and prepare new and existing woodwork
• Caulk, fill nail holes, and correct surface imperfections
• Apply primer, paint, and finishing products
• Spray cabinet doors, drawer fronts, cabinet boxes, and woodwork
• Perform brush and roller applications when required
• Mask and protect surrounding surfaces before spraying or painting
• Perform touch-ups and final punch-out work
• Identify and correct finish defects
• Maintain consistent, professional-quality finishes
• Clean and maintain spray equipment and painting tools
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Follow job site and shop safety procedures
• Travel to projects throughout the Texas Hill Country

Qualifications

• Previous professional painting or cabinet finishing experience preferred
• Cabinet spraying experience is highly preferred
• Knowledge of sanding, preparation, priming, painting, and finishing procedures
• Experience using professional spray equipment is a plus
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to produce clean and consistent finishes
• Dependable and punctual with reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently and follow project specifications

Compensation & Employment
This position will begin as contract labor, with the possibility of full-time employment based on performance, reliability, quality of work, and company need.
Pay is based on experience and demonstrated skill level.
