About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Painter Foreperson to lead crews on residential and commercial projects across Northern VA and Washington, DC. This role is for someone who's already proven themselves in the field — someone who can run a job site, keep a crew on track, and deliver quality work on time and on budget.
Also open to painters with 5+ years of hands-on painting experience who are ready to step into a leadership role, even without prior foreperson title.
What You'll Do
- Lead a painting crew on-site day to day
- Delegate tasks and keep the team productive and accountable
- Ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and to a high quality standard
- Communicate directly with clients and manage the relationship on-site
- Drive and maintain a company work truck (parked at your home)
- 5+ years of painting experience (prior foreperson/lead experience preferred, but not required if you're ready to grow into it)
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a crew, or clear leadership potential
- Strong communication skills — comfortable talking with clients directly
- Honest, reliable, and leads by example
- Must provide strong references from past employers
- Valid driver's license and ability to park a work truck at home
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
