Freshline Painting is building a dedicated painting division to serve our custom home and commercial builder partners across Chicago — and we need someone to lead it from the ground up. If you've run painting crews before and are ready to build and own a division rather than just work inside one, this is that role.

Freshline Painting is a Chicago-based painting company built around one thing: reliable, high-quality finish work on projects that don't leave much room for error. We work directly with a custom home and commercial builder on two very different but equally demanding lines of work — fast-turn painting on high-rise residential units and meticulous finish work on high-end custom homes. Our reputation with our builder partner is built job by job, and we're growing the team responsible for protecting it.
About the Role

A year into this role, you'll have built and be running a painting division that our builder partner trusts without having to check behind. You'll have hired and trained a crew (or crews) capable of turning high-rise units on tight timelines without sacrificing quality, while also handling the slower, detail-driven work that high-end residential clients expect. You'll be the person our builder calls first — for scheduling, for quality questions, and for solving problems before they become delays.

What You'll Do

• Lead and grow a team of painters and crew leads working across multiple concurrent job sites
• Own scheduling and sequencing across high-rise unit turns and high-end residential projects, coordinating directly with builder site superintendents
• Set and enforce quality, safety, and finish standards across every crew and every job type
• Manage materials, equipment, and vendor relationships so crews stay stocked and on schedule
• Provide labor and material estimates for upcoming projects and give input on bids
• Hire, train, and mentor painters as the division grows
• Serve as the primary point of contact with our builder partner on painting scope, timelines, and punch-list resolution

What We're Looking For
Required:

• 5+ years of professional painting experience, including interior and exterior finish work
• 2+ years leading or supervising a painting crew
• Experience working on multi-unit, high-rise, or production residential projects
• Strong scheduling and organizational skills — comfortable running more than one job site at a time
• Clear communicator with builders, site superintendents, and crew members
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred:

• Experience leading a painting crew
• Familiarity with high-end custom residential finish standards
• Bilingual (English/Spanish/Polish)

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
