Fosters Painting and Wallcovering is seeking an experienced Paint Superintendent to lead and oversee all painting operations on our commercial painting job sites. This pivotal role involves managing painting crews, ensuring project timelines are met, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety, while ensuring projects are completed under budget. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and a thorough understanding of reading blue prints. This position offers an exciting opportunity to drive successful project completion through expert supervision and strategic planning.
The ideal candidate has at least 5 years experience supervising commercial painting projects, a clean DMV record and is a US Citizen.
Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise painting crews, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality workmanship across multiple projects.
• Review blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to interpret project requirements accurately
• Coordinate with project managers to establish realistic construction schedules and monitor progress regularly
• Enforce adherence to OSHA standards and federal construction safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment
• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure all painting work meets company standards and client expectations
• Supervise daily site activities, manage crew performance, and facilitate effective communication among team members and owners.
• Oversee construction schedule coordination, review construction drawings for accuracy, and interpret technical specifications for proper execution
• Ensure all projects are completed under budget

Skills

• Extensive experience in commercial painting within the construction industry
• Proven ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced construction environment with supervisory experience in supervising crews
• Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and construction schedules
• Familiarity with OSHA standards, federal safety regulations, and construction safety management practices
• Excellent managerial communication skills for managing client relationships, subcontractors, and team members
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality standards and safety protocols
• Competence in budgeting, project scheduling, quality control procedures, and managing contracts effectively
