Part-Time Construction Site Inspector

## About the role
We're a local residential builder looking for a reliable, detail-oriented person to check on a small new-construction job in west Columbus. You'll be our eyes on site at key points in the build: before and after concrete pours, when trades start and finish, and on inspection days. Visits are usually 30–60 minutes, scheduled in advance, with flexible timing within the day.

## What you'll do

• Visit the site at scheduled milestones and take clear photos from set angles
• Walk a short checklist (e.g., forms and rebar in place, concrete covered and protected in cold weather, materials delivered and secured, site cleaned up and locked)
• Compare what you see against the drawings and flag anything that looks off
• Send a quick report by text or email the same day
• Occasionally meet a sub or city inspector on site

## What we're looking for

• Background in residential construction, building, or inspection (retired builders, superintendents, and home inspectors are especially welcome)
• Comfortable reading basic construction drawings
• Reliable transportation and a smartphone
• Lives in or near west Columbus, Franklinton, or Hilltop
• Dependable: shows up when scheduled and reports honestly

## Details

• Paid hourly with a 1-hour minimum per visit
• Roughly 20–30 visits over the build, typically 1–3 per week
• Independent contractor (1099)
