Earlier this year we launched a Richmond branch of a well-established NYC handyman and small-projects company known for professionalism, organization, and quality work.

About the Role

We’re looking for a dependable, skilled handyman to handle residential and small commercial service work. We are still growing, and would like to find someone who is willing to grow with us. Jobs are well-scoped, scheduled in advance, and supported by an operations system. No scrambling, no guessing, no unpaid estimates.

This is ideal for someone who wants to pick up some part-time work, clean jobs, and a professional environment without the chaos of gig platforms.

Typical Work Includes

-Mounting TVs, shelves, mirrors, art
-Furniture assembly
-Repairing/resealing fences/porches/decks
-Light carpentry and repairs
-Door, cabinet, and hardware fixes
-Minor drywall patching and painting
-Small punch-list jobs
-No plumbing, HVAC, roofing, or heavy electrical.

Schedule

-Part-time to start
-Roughly up to 15 hours per week
-Mostly weekdays, some flexibility
-Jobs are scheduled, not on-call

Pay

-$25-$30/hour, depending on experience
-Paid hourly - Paid out weekly (hours worked this week are paid the following week)
-Consistent work for the right person
-Opportunity for more hours as the RVA branch grows
-Potential training/work in our NYC shop

Requirements

-Good with people/friendly
-Proven handyman or trade experience
-Own basic tools (drill, levels, hand tools, etc.)
-Reliable transportation
-Professional, clean, and respectful in clients’ homes
-Comfortable working independently
-Strong attention to detail

Nice to Have

-Experience with mounting on drywall, plaster, masonry
-Basic drywall repair and painting skills
-Experience in occupied homes or offices
-Ability to communicate clearly with clients
