Pay: $25-$27/hr; Pay based on ability and experience

We are a small, fast-paced commercial printing company seeking a dependable, hands-on team member to join our production staff. This position is ideal for an experienced press operator who enjoys variety and is also willing to assist in all areas of production, including bindery, boxing, and shipping, as needed. In our shop, every team member plays an important role in delivering high-quality products and exceptional service to our customers.

Position Summary

The Part-Time Printing Press Operator main role is to operate offset printing equipment. They may be asked to perform finishing and bindery tasks, and assist with packaging and shipping completed orders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently while contributing to a team environment.

Responsibilities

Operate offset printing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials; must have experience operating small AB Dick and Heidelberg presses
Strip and burn metal plates (occasionally)
Mix ink (occasionally)
Review job tickets and ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently.
Inspect printed materials for quality and accuracy.
Maintain equipment and keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
Perform bindery operations including cutting, folding, stitching, padding, and other finishing tasks, as may be required

Qualifications

Must have experience operating small AB Dick and Heidelberg presses
Knowledge of print production processes and quality control standards.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Experience with bindery and finishing equipment preferred (will provide training)
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
