Part-Time Rental Property Field & Maintenance Technician

Aurevia Property Group is a growing rental-property company serving the St. Petersburg area. We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Field Operations & Maintenance Technician to be our eyes and ears on the ground.

This is not primarily a cleaning job, leasing job, or desk job. You will drive between properties, inspect turnovers, document conditions, verify vendor work, and personally handle common maintenance issues.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Perform post-cleaning turnover walkthroughs using a simple mobile checklist
• Confirm units are clean, safe, accessible, properly stocked, and ready for the next guest or tenant
• Identify property problems and report them clearly with photos and notes
• Verify that cleaners, handymen, and other vendors completed work correctly
• Handle occasional lockbox, access, supply, delivery, and property-condition checks
• Diagnose and complete routine maintenance and light-to-moderate repairs yourself when qualified
• Communicate promptly with our Operations Coordinator, who schedules and coordinates the work

YOU MUST BE HANDY

We need someone who can do more than spot a problem. You should be comfortable diagnosing issues and completing common repairs without automatically calling an outside handyman. Examples may include lock and hardware adjustments, minor plumbing repairs, basic electrical troubleshooting, drywall or paint touch-ups, furniture assembly, appliance troubleshooting, and similar rental-property fixes.

You must also use good judgment, know your limits, and escalate work that requires a licensed trade or advanced repair.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Dependable transportation and willingness to drive between St. Petersburg/Pinellas County properties
• A smartphone and comfort using mobile checklists, photos, text, and property-management tools
• Strong attention to detail, good judgment, and clear communication
• Availability around turnovers and occasional urgent property issues
• Reliable follow-through—if you say something is handled, we need to know it is truly finished
• Ability to document problems clearly and professionally

Rental, hotel, inspection, maintenance, construction, cleaning-quality-assurance, handyman, or field-service experience is preferred. Reliability, practical skill, and follow-through matter more than an impressive résumé.

SCHEDULE AND PAY

• Part-time, approximately 20–25 hours per week to start
• Work varies around turnovers, inspections, repairs, and occasional urgent needs
• Mileage reimbursement for approved property-to-property travel
• This role could grow into a larger field-operations position for the right person
