Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Window Tinter to join our dynamic automotive team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality window tinting films to vehicles, enhancing both aesthetics and privacy while improving UV protection and temperature control. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of vehicles, develop specialized skills in automotive tinting, and contribute to delivering a superior customer experience. Duties:
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning and removing existing window films or debris to ensure optimal adhesion of new tinting materials
- Measure and cut tinting film accurately to fit various vehicle windows using specialized hand tools and power tools
- Apply window tint film smoothly and evenly, ensuring there are no bubbles, creases, or imperfections
- Use heat guns, squeegees, and other tools to secure the film and eliminate air pockets during installation
- Inspect finished work for quality control, ensuring compliance with safety standards and customer specifications
- Assist with related auto glass installation, vehicle detailing, or minor auto body repairs as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including proper storage of tools, films, and equipment
- Dealership experience or background in automotive repair is highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and auto body repair processes
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and glass installation equipment
- Knowledge of ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) considerations during window tinting or auto glass work
- Experience with auto estimating software or processes is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely during installation or material handling tasks
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on precision craftsmanship in tint application
- Basic understanding of auto glass replacement procedures and vehicle assembly techniques
- Familiarity with auto detailing practices to ensure a polished final appearance
- Mechanical experience or mechanic background that supports understanding vehicle structures and components
