Pest Control Tech ($30/hr)

Pest Control Technician on Military Base

We are looking for qualified candidates to manage and eliminate structural pests. Technician will properly report application of insecticides used on the project. The purpose of this position is to help ensure safe and pest free-living conditions for our residents in military base housing.

Schedule: 7:30am - 4:00pm (Monday - Friday)

Pay Rate: $30 per hour
Worksite Location: Schofield area

Job Description:

• Identify pest problem and appropriate solution, apply chemical or mechanical devices in accordance with Integrated Pest Management practices
• Comply with all state, federal and local regulatory agencies
• Must maintain all applicable certifications or licenses
• Meet all work order response and completion times as defined in management plan
• Responsible for identifying, selecting, mixing, and applying chemicals in accordance with the product label, local, state, and federal regulations
• Responsible for recording chemical application data through electronic database and/or manual record keeping
• Periodically perform inventory control to ensure ample supply of materials is available
• Problem Solving varied, requiring analysis or interpretation of the situation using direct observation, knowledge and skills based on general precedent

Job Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License
• Reliable vehicle with registration, safety, and insurance
• Acceptable drivers abstract
• GED or HS Diploma
• 1-3 years required of relevant work experience
• State License for Pesticide Application is required
• Certification in Pest Control Applicators and license in Hawaii, valid on the federal installation
• Be able to communicate clearly in both written and oral communication
• Must have basic computer skills and be familiar with navigating web-based applications
• Must have full working knowledge of standard concepts, practices, procedures and policies and able to use in varied situations
• Must be able to work collaboratively in small teams, offer ideas, identify issues, and respect team members to improve operations
• Must be able to provide high level of customer service to internal and external customers in a professional, service-oriented, respectful manner using active listening and problem-solving skills
• Must be ok to work in all weather conditions
• Must be able to lift 50lbs. unassisted
• Must pass background pre-screening checks
