Piano Player

We are seeking a passionate and versatile pianist to bring vibrant musical energy to Southminster Presbyterian Church. We are a progressive congregation, fully inclusive and welcoming.

In this permanent part time role, you must be able to play nearly every Sunday morning, as well
as additional services for Christmas eve and one or two Christmas concerts. The position entails
6–8 hours most weeks, with additional hours for performances and special services. Your typical
week include being at the church for rehearsal prior to Sunday service, Sunday service, and group
rehearsal on Wednesdays. You will consult with the pastor and Choir Director on appropriate
selections, arrange for a substitute when not able to be present, and provide additional support for
soloists or instrumental ensembles as needed. The pianist position requires facility with both
traditional and contemporary styles, as we incorporate elements of classical, gospel, rock, and jazz.

The position pays $27-30/hour, or about $270 per week.
