Plastics Fabricator

Description

We are looking for an experienced plastics fabricator specializing in the solvent welding of acrylic, polycarbonate and other plastics (gluing these plastics to themselves or to each other with a solvent solution and applicator). Sample products would be display boxes of different kinds, sneeze guards and moister barriers, lettering for signs, machinery guards, point of purchase displays, and many other projects. We do custom and production work.

Experience preferred but we can train if you have the aptitude and are a fast learner. Ability to read drawings helpful, good dexterity with your hands and getting enjoyment working with them necessary. Experience in any field where you had similar or same tasks would be very helpful. Gluing plastics is similar to "model making" and if you have done that kind of work or hobby you might be the right candidate.

The candidate needs to be punctual and reliable and able take on a fabrication project and handle it on your own after training. A high school diploma or GED required. The ability to work well with the others on the fabrication team is also important.

Paid holidays, paid vacation leave and Kaiser medical coverage of which the Company plays 75%, and vision & dental coverage where Company pays 50%, all after 3 months initial work period. (Medical benefits are optional if you have your own coverage).

Our company is very well established in the plastics fabrication community and is stable, having been in business many years in the East Bay. Plenty of parking at the facility and the building is well maintained, safe, and provides an excellent work environment.

The job is full time, hours are M-F 8:30-5 with 2 ea 15 minute breaks and a half-hour lunch break.
