Plumber Service Technician

Work is focused on new, residential construction across the Hampton Roads area. Active driver’s license required.

Job Duties:

Perform service calls by diagnosing and repairing the issue(s). Must be familiar with plumbing code and principles. Repairs and installs must be up to code.

Duties Include:

Service:

• Diagnose issues based on their work order
• Repair, take notes, and report on service tickets once complete
• Maintain friendly and professional tone with customer(s)

Parts:

• Keep track of parts on the truck
• Be able to assess parts needed for jobs
• Get parts from supply houses as needed and return ship tickets to the office

Labor:

• If there are no service tickets, may be sent for general new plumbing installation, ie. Slabs, rough-ins, and finals
• May have to leave jobsite to attend service call(s)

Qualifications:

• Driver’s License
• Highschool Diploma
• Prior experience
• Understanding of plumbing systems, i.e., water supply and drainage systems
• Able to comprehend blueprints

Preferred:

• Proficient in math for measurements and calculating space for fittings
• Licensed Journeyman

Tools not provided, must have your own tools. Recommended to have battery operated tools charged as some jobsites do not have power.
